The Speaker of the House and the Senate Committee on Committees each select one person from their respective houses to serve on the 9-member Gaming Advisory Council. The remaining members are appointed by the Attorney General. The Council is charged with advising the Department of Justice on changes to gaming statutes, the need for additional or modified Department rules, and other gambling-related issues. The Council must submit a biennial report to the Department that includes the Council's findings and recommendations.
